Winter flight schedule 2023/24: Diverse offering and two new long-haul holiday destinations

Edelweiss, Switzerland's leading leisure airline, is further expanding its long-haul offerings. For the 2023/24 winter flight schedule, Edelweiss will offer 20 diverse long-haul destinations in 15 countries. The offering will primarily include popular destinations in North America, Thailand, and South Africa.

With Edelweiss directly to the superlative Formula 1 race in Las Vegas
Flights to Las Vegas will continue this season until November, much to the delight of all Formula 1 fans. After more than 40 years, the Formula 1 circus will return to the legendary Las Vegas Strip between November 16 and 18, 2023. Edelweiss will offer convenient, non-stop flights from Zurich to the race to experience this unforgettable spectacle up close. For the third year in a row, Edelweiss is the Official Airline Partner of the Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake motorsport team.

In addition, Edelweiss will now also fly to Tampa Bay, Florida, twice a week during the winter months.

Wide range of offers in the sunny Caribbean
The number of flights to Caribbean holiday destinations remains unchanged. As in the last winter season, Cancún will be served three times a week, Havana once a week, and Punta Cana twice a week non-stop from Zurich. Puerto Plata will be served once a week in conjunction with Montego Bay, Jamaica. San José will be served three times a week, including two flights per week in conjunction with Liberia/Guanacaste.

Colombia new in the program
As previously announced, Edelweiss will fly to two new holiday destinations in Colombia. The two new destinations, Bogotá and Cartagena, are ideal for exploring this country of contrasts on a stunning round trip. Starting November 22, 2023, Edelweiss will fly nonstop from Zurich every Wednesday and Sunday to Bogotá, then on to Cartagena, and then back to Zurich.

Earlier start of the season and more flights to South Africa and Thailand
Due to high demand, Edelweiss will increase the number of flights to Cape Town by one additional flight per week, beginning at the end of August. Edelweiss will now fly to the metropolis at the Cape of Good Hope four times a week. Kilimanjaro will continue to be served twice a week in combination with Zanzibar. Those who prefer a tropical experience can look forward to Phuket, where the service will be expanded to include a weekly flight. Edelweiss will fly to this exotic destination three times a week, starting at the beginning of October.

The holiday destinations of Muscat in Oman, Mauritius, and the Seychelles remain a fixed feature of Edelweiss' winter flight schedule. The Maldives are served three times a week from Zurich, including one weekly connection with Colombo, Sri Lanka.
