Summer flight schedule 2027: more flights to Florida, Africa and tropical holiday destinations
- Expansion of long-haul services to Florida and Africa
- Las Vegas will not be served in summer 2027
- Additional flights to the Caribbean and the Maldives
Edelweiss is expanding its service on the popular long-haul route to Tampa, Florida. From the beginning of July to the beginning of September, the destination will be served five times a week.
The Zurich–Las Vegas route will not be offered in the 2027 summer schedule. This is due to weak market demand. Passengers travelling from Switzerland can still reach Las Vegas via the Lufthansa Group hub in Frankfurt.
Edelweiss is also offering more connections on routes to Africa. Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar in Tanzania are now served four times a week. The season to Windhoek now starts in mid-March, and from July to October the destination will be served three times a week. In autumn, the service to Cape Town will also be expanded with an additional flight frequency, bringing the total to four flights per week.
In the Caribbean, Edelweiss is maintaining its attractive service. During the spring break, Edelweiss is increasing the number of flights to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic to four per week. In the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles will be served twice a week during this period. Edelweiss offers up to five flights per week to Malé in the Maldives in the spring and up to four in the autumn.
First flights with the new Airbus A350 cabin from June 2027
Starting in early June 2027, the first long-haul flights will depart featuring the new Airbus A350 cabin. Initial holiday destinations include Halifax in Canada, Windhoek in Namibia, and Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar in Tanzania. Availability will be continuously expanded to additional destinations throughout the summer months. From October onwards, all long-haul flights will feature the new cabin product.
The new generation of cabins offers a modernized travel experience in all travel classes. This includes, among other things, the new Edelweiss Premium Economy with additional legroom and an expanded range of services.
Flights are now bookable at flyedelweiss.com and through all usual sales channels. The complete 2027 summer flight schedule, including the short-haul route changes, is expected to be released in mid-December.
