Three new holiday destinations in Tanzania

Edelweiss is expanding its offerings on the African continent. It is adding three new destinations in Tanzania to its route network for the fall break: Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, and Dar es Salaam. These holiday destinations can be perfectly combined to experience the country's full diversity.

Holidays in Tanzania are a paradise. The country fascinates with its natural wealth and diverse wildlife. Experience the "Big 5" (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino) up close in the Serengeti National Park, hike Mount Kilimanjaro, or relax on the beach of a tropical island like the Arabic-influenced Zanzibar: Those seeking variety are guaranteed to find it in Tanzania.

Kilimanjaro: The hiking paradise
Kilimanjaro, the "Roof of Africa," attracts nature lovers from all over the world with its imposing snow-capped peak. A hike up Africa's highest mountain is rightfully on the bucket list of many nature and trekking enthusiasts. The area around Kilimanjaro is the ideal starting point for exploring Tanzania's vast steppe landscapes and incredible wildlife.

Starting October 8, 2021, Edelweiss will fly twice a week directly from Zurich to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Zanzibar: The tropical beauty
The gleaming white beaches on the spice island of Zanzibar promise all-round pampering and relaxation. Beach holidays scented with pepper, cloves, and vanilla, where the azure sea gently laps at your feet and your senses soar. The year-round warm, crystal-clear waters and the powder-white sand beaches make Zanzibar the African dream destination for unwinding.

Starting October 8, 2021, Edelweiss will fly once a week from Zurich to Zanzibar with a stopover in Kilimanjaro.

Dar es Salaam: The gateway to southern Tanzania
The bustling metropolis of Dar es Salaam lies on the largely undeveloped mainland coast of Tanzania. Not far from the city, you'll find secluded beaches with an oriental flair. The dream island of Zanzibar is just a stone's throw away, and the national parks in southern Tanzania can be easily explored from here.

Starting October 12, 2021, Edelweiss will fly once a week from Zurich to Dar es Salaam with a stopover in Kilimanjaro.

Flights to the three new holiday destinations can now be booked at flyedelweiss.com and through all usual sales channels.

Should renewed entry restrictions require an adjustment to the flight schedule, this will be communicated promptly. To ensure that you can still plan your trip with confidence, Edelweiss continues to guarantee flexible and free rebooking options.
