Three new holiday destinations in Edelweiss’ winter flight schedule

This winter, Edelweiss will fly to 25 holiday destinations in 11 countries on short- and medium-haul routes. Popular holiday destinations in the Canary Islands and the Red Sea will be served particularly frequently. New connections this winter will be offered to Agadir in Morocco, Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, and Sal in the Cape Verde Islands, direct from Zurich.

Due to the constant demand for beach holidays, Edelweiss is offering a wide-ranging flight program to popular destinations in the Atlantic Ocean and the Red Sea this winter. Holiday destinations in the Canary Islands (Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, Tenerife) will be served with up to 24 weekly direct flights throughout the winter, and those in Egypt (Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Sharm El Sheikh) with up to 13 weekly direct flights.

"Swiss people are booking their trips at shorter notice than in the past. Holidays to typical beach destinations are also very popular during the winter months. An intact tourism infrastructure and high health safety standards are particularly important to us during this time," says Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer of Edelweiss.

Three new holiday destinations: Agadir, Sharm El Sheikh and Sal (Cape Verde)
Starting October 1, 2020, Edelweiss will offer a weekly direct flight to Agadir. 300 days of sunshine a year, a year-round mild and dry climate, and endless beaches make Agadir on the southern Atlantic coast of Morocco not only one of the most popular destinations for beach holidays, but golfers also get their money's worth on the numerous golf courses in the region.

Starting October 2, 2020, Edelweiss will fly up to twice a week from Zurich directly to Sharm El Sheikh. With year-round summer temperatures, warm seas, and impressive underwater world, Sharm El Sheikh offers a dream beach holiday.

Starting October 26, 2020, Edelweiss will operate weekly flights from Zurich to Sal in the Cape Verde Islands. The Cape Verde Islands, located in the Atlantic Ocean, are a holiday paradise for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts. They captivate with a breathtaking combination of miles of white sandy beaches, comfortable temperatures, and almost year-round sunshine.

The new connections can be booked at flyedelweiss.com and through all usual sales channels.
