Summer flight schedule 2026: Edelweiss with three new holiday destinations and additional frequencies on short- and long-haul routes

Edelweiss is further expanding its short-, medium-, and long-haul flight offerings in the 2026 summer schedule. With three new destinations, additional frequencies, and season extensions, Edelweiss offers passengers even more choice and more attractive travel options from Zurich.

Three new holiday destinations from Scotland to southern Africa
Edelweiss is expanding its route network in the summer flight schedule 2026 with three new holiday destinations on short- and long-haul routes.

Glasgow will be served by flights every Monday and Friday from May 29th to September 14th, 2026. Scotland's largest city combines Victorian architecture with modern culture, a vibrant music scene, and a rich football tradition. Thanks to its location, Glasgow is ideal for a city break, as well as a perfect base for tours through the Scottish Highlands or in combination with Edinburgh.

With Kefalonia, Edelweiss expands its Greek offerings to include another Ionian island. Flights will operate every Tuesday and Saturday from June 6th to August 29th, 2026. Kefalonia offers relaxing beach holidays away from the crowds, with diverse beaches, charming port towns like Argostoli and Sami, and impressive natural landscapes surrounding Mount Aenos. The island is also ideal for island hopping.

As previously announced, Edelweiss is adding Windhoek to its long-haul network. Starting June 1, 2026, Namibia's capital city will be served twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays. Windhoek is the ideal starting point for tours throughout Namibia – from the dunes of the Namib Desert and Etosha National Park to the Atlantic coast. With this new connection, Edelweiss further expands its offerings in Southern Africa, complementing its existing destinations of Cape Town, Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar.

More frequencies and a longer season in short and medium distance racing
In southern Europe, additional frequencies are available on several routes. Faro will now be served daily during the summer holidays. From mid-May, the service to Kalamata will be expanded to three weekly flights. In Corsica, the season to Calvi will be extended into the autumn holidays. In addition, there will be two new weekly flights to Figari.

The Azores remain a key focus in the summer flight schedule. With the connection to Terceira, introduced last year, and the addition of Ponta Delgada, up to four weekly flights to the archipelago are offered.

Furthermore, Edelweiss is increasing connections to other European holiday destinations. Bergen, Zadar, and Tbilisi will now be served three times a week. Larnaca will be served with an additional flight starting in July. Bristol, which has been part of the route network since summer 2025, will now be offered starting at Easter and will thus be included in the entire summer flight schedule. The season to Varna in Bulgaria will begin as early as June 7, 2026. Santiago de Compostela in Spain will now remain in the flight schedule until the autumn school holidays.

Expansion of long-haul services in North America and the Caribbean
In North America, service will be further expanded on several routes. Seattle will be served again from June 1, 2026, with three weekly flights starting June 25. Halifax will now remain on the schedule until October 18, 2026, thus also covering the popular fall season in Nova Scotia. Vancouver will be served starting May 5, 2026, with daily service beginning June 13, 2026. This expansion addresses the high demand during the summer months – partly due to the Swiss national team's participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Vancouver.

The popular long-haul connections to Tampa Bay, Denver, Las Vegas and Calgary will remain part of the flight schedule and will continue to provide a wide selection of attractive holiday destinations in North America.

Edelweiss is also maintaining its attractive offerings in the Caribbean. The popular destination of Punta Cana will be served with three weekly flights during the spring and summer holidays, thus remaining an important part of its long-haul network.
