Software problems at Airbus have no impact on Edelweiss flight operations
Yesterday, Airbus informed all operators of the A320 family worldwide that a short-term software update was required for certain aircraft. The measure was determined in coordination with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and had to be implemented by last night. The Edelweiss A320 fleet was also affected.
Edelweiss, in close cooperation with its sister company SWISS, thoroughly inspected all aircraft last night and carried out the necessary software updates on schedule. The entire A320 fleet is fully operational. There was no impact on our passengers. All flights operated without restrictions or delays.
