Edelweiss winter flight schedule 2014/15
The Edelweiss 2014/15 winter flight schedule introduces several changes to the route network. The long-haul destinations Las Vegas and Havana, newly offered by Edelweiss in the 2014 summer flight schedule, are enjoying great popularity. Therefore, these destinations will continue to be served once a week during the winter months. Phuket will also be served three times a week.
| The Zurich – Las Vegas route is also served weekly (every Monday) during the winter months with the Airbus A330-300. |
| Weekly connections to the Caribbean, to Havana (every Thursday) and Punta Cana (every Wednesday), are also offered. |
| Tampa Bay, Florida, will be served twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, in accordance with the summer schedule. |
| The Maldives are served once a week (every Saturday). |
| The popular holiday island of Phuket in Thailand will now be served three times a week. Flights will operate on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays each week. |
| Cape Town will continue to be served twice weekly (Monday and Friday). |
| Due to the sharp decline in demand for East Africa and the tense market environment for Mauritius, the Zurich-Kilimanjaro-Mombasa and Zurich-Mauritius routes will no longer be offered in the 2014/15 winter flight schedule. |
| Mauritius can still be easily reached with our sister airline SWISS via Johannesburg. The same applies to Kilimanjaro (Arusha) and Mombasa, which can be reached with SWISS via Nairobi. |
| There are also some changes on short- and medium-haul routes: Flights to Funchal (Madeira) and Fuerteventura will be increased to two weekly connections each. |
| The destinations Larnaca and Antalya are also served twice a week throughout the winter. |
| Seasonal flights to Catania are also now offered. |
| The flight program to Egypt remains stable: In addition to a weekly non-stop connection to Marsa Alam, the destinations Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada are each served directly twice a week. |
| The two weekly flights to Marrakech will also remain. |
