Edelweiss receives Swiss Travel Award 2016
Edelweiss was awarded the Swiss Travel Award 2016 last night in the category “ Airlines Short/Medium Hail ” and took third place in the category “ Airlines Long Hail ” .
“ This is a great recognition of the daily work of our employees and shows us that we are still on the right track with our product and our service ,” says Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss.
The rankings of the above categories are as follows:

Investment in fleet and product experience
The next milestone will follow on December 1, 2016. Edelweiss will then unveil the first converted Airbus A340 and commence regular long-haul service. Three more aircraft of the same type will be added by the end of 2018.
As previously communicated, Edelweiss modernized its entire Airbus A320 short-haul fleet this summer with a fresh interior and introduced a wireless entertainment system.
