Edelweiss now flies to Amman and Aqaba in Jordan
Jordan is a country steeped in history with breathtaking landscapes, a vibrant and modern capital, stunning beaches, and excellent cuisine. Starting February 2, 2023, Edelweiss will fly from Zurich to Amman and then on to Aqaba every Thursday and Sunday. The two destinations can be easily combined and are ideal for a round trip in Jordan.
Amman: Ancient flair meets modernity
The capital, Amman, lies in a hilly region in the Jordan Valley in the northwest of the country. The fascinating blend of tradition and modernity, the excellent restaurants, street markets, chic boutiques and art galleries, and, above all, the Amman Citadel archaeological site, make it worthwhile to spend a few days in the city.
Aqaba: The Gateway to the Red Sea
The charming city of Aqaba is located in the south of the country, about a four-hour drive from the capital, Amman. The stunning beaches along the 27-kilometer-long coastline are home to beautiful hotels for swimming and relaxing. Aqaba also boasts many attractive diving spots with wrecks and beautiful, intact reefs. Jordan's impressive sights, such as the rock city of Petra or the Wadi Rum desert, can be explored from Aqaba on one- or multi-day excursions.
