Edelweiss launches non-stop flights to Seattle
- First flight from Zurich took place on Monday, June 2
- Two flights per week until 15 September
- Ceremonial ribbon cutting at the gate.
Today, Monday, Edelweiss took off from Zurich to Seattle for the first time. The new connection was celebrated with a ceremony at Zurich Airport. At the symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony at the gate, Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss, Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer of Edelweiss, and Chantal Weinmann, Manager of Marketing Services at Zurich Airport, together with the crew, cut the ribbon, officially opening the new route.
With Seattle, Edelweiss now flies directly from Zurich to four holiday destinations in the USA – Tampa Bay (Florida), Las Vegas, and Denver. The seasonal flights operate on Mondays and Saturdays. A 314-seat Airbus A340 is used. The season ends on September 15, 2025.
