Edelweiss flies to Salalah in Oman for the first time
- First flight took place on Tuesday, February 25, 2025
- Two flights per week until May and from September
- Gate event with ceremonial ribbon cutting
Edelweiss celebrated its maiden flight to Salalah, Oman, with a ceremony today, Tuesday. The traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at Zurich Airport, where Oliver Lenz, Senior Manager Network Planning & Development at Edelweiss, and Rolf Hancock, Vice President Aviation Development at Zurich Airport, cut the ribbon together with the crew.
With Salalah, Edelweiss flies to its second holiday destination in Oman, alongside Muscat. Anyone looking for an unforgettable beach holiday will find Salalah to be just what they're looking for. Whether traveling as a single, couple, or family – everyone will find something to their liking here. Miles of fine sandy beaches, year-round warm bathing temperatures, and a vibrant underwater world live up to Salalah's nickname – the "Caribbean of the Orient."
Those who want to experience all facets of Oman can easily combine Muscat and Salalah with a round trip.
Edelweiss flies twice a week from Zurich via Muscat to Salalah and from there non-stop back until May and from September onwards.
