Edelweiss flies to Colombia for the first time
- First flight took place on Wednesday, November 22, 2023
- Seasonal two weekly flights to Bogotá with onward flight to Cartagena

The Swiss leisure airline Edelweiss celebrated its inaugural flight to Colombia this Wednesday morning. This event was marked with the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony at Gate D43 of Zurich Airport. Francisco Javier Echeverri Lara, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to Switzerland, and Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss, joined the crew in cutting the ribbon. Following the ceremony, the Edelweiss Airbus A340 took off for Colombia.
Edelweiss will now fly nonstop from Zurich to Bogotá, then on to Cartagena, and then nonstop to Zurich again every Wednesday and Sunday until the end of May. Flights can be booked at flyedelweiss.com and through all usual sales channels. The first piece of normal-sized sports equipment will be transported free of charge.
