Edelweiss flies to Cancún again

Just in time for the fall break, Edelweiss will once again fly direct from Zurich to Cancún on Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula starting October 3, 2020. The region has received "Safe Travels" certification from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).

The Yucatán Peninsula lies in the subtropical climate zone. It's warm there year-round, and water temperatures rarely drop below 24 degrees Celsius. Therefore, the best time to travel for a beach holiday is always! Starting October 3, Edelweiss will once again fly directly from Zurich to Cancún once a week (on Saturdays).

"22 kilometers of pristine sandy beaches are the starting point for adventures not only for divers and snorkelers. Anglers, sailors, kayakers, and jet skiers also get their money's worth. Bikers appreciate the flat terrain on the Yucatán Peninsula just as much as golfers. And the archaeological sites are known far beyond Mexico's borders. Almost all wishes are fulfilled in Yucatán," says Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss.

The connection is now bookable at flyedelweiss.com and through all usual sales channels.

Entry requirements for Cancún
Cancún/Quintana Roo has received the "Safe Travels" certification from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). This is recognition of Cancún's commitment to ensuring the health and safety of guests and employees in the tourism sector. Mexico is no longer on the Federal Office of Public Health's (FOPH) list of high-risk countries. No quarantine is required upon return to Switzerland.

Should renewed entry restrictions require an adjustment to the flight schedule, this will be communicated promptly. To ensure that you can still plan your trip with confidence, Edelweiss continues to guarantee flexible and free rebooking options.
