Summary
  • First flight on Monday, October 31, 2022
  • A weekly non-stop connection from Zurich
  • Boa Vista is the second holiday destination in Cape Verde after Sal

Edelweiss celebrated another maiden flight on Monday, October 31st, this time to Boa Vista in the Cape Verde Islands. Boa Vista is already the second destination in Cape Verde after Sal. As is tradition, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at the gate shortly before takeoff. Rolf Hancock, Vice President of Aviation Development at Zurich Airport, and Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer of Edelweiss, were present. "I am delighted that with Boa Vista we are flying to another fantastic island in the Cape Verde Islands. Our guests will be just as enthusiastic about this pearl of the Cape Verde Islands, as the island is also called, as I am," said Heymann. Edelweiss will fly non-stop to Boa Vista from Zurich every Monday until spring.

The third-largest Cape Verde island, Boa Vista – beautiful view – more than lives up to its name. With pleasantly warm temperatures year-round and 350 days of sunshine, life on this enchanting island is relaxed and authentic. Boa Vista enchants those seeking relaxation with its many stunning white sandy beaches and shimmering turquoise sea. Sun, wind, and waves create excellent conditions not only for swimmers but also for water sports enthusiasts.

With Boa Vista, Edelweiss expands its short- and medium-haul network to 63 destinations. Flights can be booked at flyedelweiss.com and through all standard sales channels.
