Edelweiss flies to Biarritz for the first time
- First flight to Biarritz took place on Friday, 23 June 2023
- Two flights per week from Zurich until mid-September
- Gate event with ceremonial ribbon cutting
Edelweiss celebrated its maiden flight to Biarritz, France, this Friday. The event was marked with the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony. Urs Lobsiger, captain of the inaugural flight, and Rolf Hancock, Vice President of Aviation Development at Zurich Airport, joined the crew in cutting the ribbon.
Biarritz is a surfing and bathing paradise on the French Atlantic coast and captivates with its fascinating architecture. Those who want to travel to the Basque Country can ideally combine Biarritz with the existing Edelweiss holiday destination of Bilbao.
Edelweiss flies from Zurich to Biarritz every Tuesday and Friday until mid-September.
