Edelweiss expands its flight offerings in the summer 2026 flight schedule on selected routes
- Expansion of connections to Malé and Windhoek
- Additional flights to destinations in the Indian Ocean are planned for autumn
- Increased capacity on selected short-haul destinations in Europe
Edelweiss is strategically using the capacity freed up by adjustments to its route network to expand its services. The Swiss leisure airline is thus strengthening destinations with particularly high demand. This is in connection with the recently announced changes to its route network, including the discontinuation of services to Denver and Seattle.
Long-haul expansions
From July 3, 2026, two new weekly flights to the Maldives will be offered. The flights will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The route to Windhoek in Namibia will also be expanded. From July 15, 2026, Edelweiss will offer three new weekly flights. In addition to the existing Monday and Friday services, an extra flight will be operated on Wednesdays.
For autumn 2026, Edelweiss is also planning additional flights to holiday destinations in the Indian Ocean to meet the seasonally increased demand for beach holidays.
Expansions on short-haul routes
Edelweiss is expanding its short-haul flight offerings with additional capacity to popular holiday destinations. These include Faro, Gran Canaria, Palma de Mallorca, Newquay, Bergen, and Santiago de Compostela. Further adjustments to the short-haul schedule are being reviewed continuously.
Flights are now bookable at flyedelweiss.com and through all usual sales channels. With these measures, Edelweiss is responding flexibly to current demand trends and utilizing available capacity to further develop its services.
