Easier through US security checks with Edelweiss

Edelweiss, the leading Swiss leisure airline, is now participating in the US Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Pre-Check program. Registered passengers enjoy benefits at US airports.

Edelweiss is now TSA Pre-Check certified. For Edelweiss passengers who are members of the TSA program, this means easier and faster departure from American airports. They have access to separate security checkpoints, which in most cases have significantly shorter lines. Furthermore, shoes, jackets, belts, liquids, and laptops do not need to be presented separately.

Existing members of Global Entry, which facilitates entry into the US, are automatically enrolled in TSA Pre-Check. Children under 12 do not need to be certified separately. They can travel with TSA Pre-Check-certified travelers.

You can register for the program at www.tsa.gov/precheck. After successful screening, which includes an interview on US soil, you will receive a "Known Traveler Number" (KTN). This must be provided at every check-in. Membership costs USD 85 for five years. TSA Pre-Check is currently available at over 200 US airports.

Edelweiss flies from Zurich to the following holiday destinations in the USA: Denver, Las Vegas, Orlando, San Diego and Tampa Bay.
