Cancun, Costa Rica and San Diego: 3 new destinations for every holiday taste
Edelweiss, the leading Swiss leisure airline, is expanding its long-haul network with three new destinations and will fly to Cancun, Costa Rica, and San Diego starting with the 2017 summer schedule. The new destinations will be served with the newly refurbished Airbus A340.
Just in time for the spring break, Edelweiss is adding Cancun back to its flight schedule, flying to the Mexican resort on the Yucatán Peninsula every Thursday and Sunday. The region offers paradisiacal natural beauty, and its white beaches are among the most beautiful in the Caribbean. In addition to relaxing beach holidays, the Mayan ruins invite you to an exciting journey through the country's historical heritage.
Nonstop flights to Cancun begin on April 16, 2017, and will operate year-round.
Costa Rica: The Land of Diversity
Also in spring, Edelweiss is opening a new year-round vacation destination, Costa Rica. This Central American country offers rainforest tours and volcano hikes, as well as surfing on the Pacific coast and boat tours on the Caribbean waterways. Costa Rica boasts a diverse natural environment with some of the most biodiverse wildlife in the world.
Starting May 9, 2017, Edelweiss will fly non-stop to Costa Rica every Tuesday and Friday.
San Diego: Beach holiday and city trip in one
With 300 days of sunshine a year, San Diego is a popular vacation destination. In addition to beautiful beaches, its world-famous zoo, and numerous theme parks, San Diego offers a pleasant climate and is particularly attractive for vacations with children. California's second-largest city is also an excellent starting point for onward travel to the north or toward Mexico.
Starting June 9, 2017, Edelweiss will fly non-stop to the Southern Californian metropolis on Mondays and Fridays.
All new holiday destinations can be booked from June 29, 2016, via flyedelweiss.com, swiss.com, and the usual sales channels.
