An airplane seat on the Madrisa

Families and connoisseurs seeking to escape the stresses of everyday life and spend a few pleasant hours in the fresh mountain air on the Madrisa will now come across a very special bench: a wooden bench shaped like an airplane seat.
Since 2016, the Swiss leisure airline Edelweiss has been naming its aircraft after regions where the queen of alpine flowers is native, in keeping with the motto "Where Edelweiss is at home." Edelweiss also grows in the Madrisa region above Klosters. For this reason, an Edelweiss Airbus A320 was christened "Madrisa" in September of last year.
As a symbol of the partnership, Klosters-Madrisa Bergbahnen AG placed an Edelweiss bench on the Madrisa family mountain yesterday afternoon. A wooden bench in the shape of an airplane seat. From here, visitors will enjoy breathtaking views of the Alpine landscape. Additionally, next to the wooden bench is a signpost indicating the direction and distance to some of the holiday destinations served by the Airbus A320 "Madrisa."
"We are delighted to be partnering with Edelweiss. It's wonderful that guests all over the world are now becoming aware of our beautiful region," says Roger Kunz, Delegate Member of the Board of Directors of Klosters-Madrisa Bergbahnen AG. Edelweiss CEO Bernd Bauer doubles down: "Edelweiss and Madrisa are a perfect fit. We both place a strong focus on families and offer unforgettable vacation experiences. We are proud to be able to raise awareness of the region even further with our A320."
The Airbus A320, HB-JLT, "Madrisa" has been flying in the special Edelweiss/help alliance livery since autumn 2022 and flies to all Edelweiss destinations on short and medium-haul routes.
