                        <title>Edelweiss begins non-stop flights to Windhoek</title>

Flight WK82 departed at 10:15 a.m. with 285 passengers on board, bound for the Namibian capital. The new Edelweiss Airbus A350 was used for the flight.</span></p><p><span>Before takeoff, the inaugural flight was given a ceremonial send-off at Zurich Airport. Bernd Bauer (CEO of Edelweiss),</span> <span style="text-align:left;">Rolf Hancock (Vice President Aviation Development of Flughafen Zürich AG) and Matthias Lemcke (Director Europe of the Namibia Tourism Board)</span> <span>symbolically cut the ribbon at the gate together with the crew.</span></p><p><span>“Namibia fascinates with its unique combination of endless expanses, impressive landscapes, fascinating wildlife and a starry sky that is second to none. We are delighted to be able to offer our guests this exceptional travel destination nonstop from Zurich from now on,” says Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss.</span></p><p><span>With Windhoek, Edelweiss expands its offering in southern Africa and now provides its guests with a direct connection to one of the continent's most impressive travel destinations.</span></p><p><span>Edelweiss now flies to Windhoek twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. From mid-July 2026, the service will be expanded to three weekly flights until the end of October. During the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer of Edelweiss, and Clara Delgado Jesus, Ambassador of Cape Verde, together with the crew, cut the ribbon, officially opening the new route.</span></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><span>With Praia, another new destination is being added to the Cape Verde archipelago: The inaugural flight departs tomorrow, Thursday, October 30, 2025. Flights to São Vicente and Praia will operate weekly, with a stopover on the island of Sal. Both destinations offer the perfect starting point for island hopping. São Vicente and its neighboring island of Santo Antão are well-connected by ferry and are considered a paradise for nature lovers and hikers. Many tours of the Cape Verde islands begin here.</span></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><span>With the addition of São Vicente and Praia, Edelweiss expands its portfolio to four destinations in Cape Verde, offering a sunny and diverse travel destination in the Atlantic.
